This one grew out of a splatter of raw umber on a sheet of gray palette paper. I fiddled with it almost as an afterthought and liked where it was going enough that I took a photo before adding anything. Over the weekend I spent time bringing it into sharper focus.

Thanks to cartoonist Adam Koford, I now know that Squarespace allows AI models to scrape your site. 😩 You can disable or "request" your content be left out, but you have to do this manually in the settings. The more you know!

Trinity College Dublin recently received a collection of more than 50 fore-edge paintings, and they are all viewable in a new online exhibition.
