@mporcheron @drmaxlwilson @floe @sigchi @andresmh As Max mentioned, SIGCHI could offer resources towards this space (e.g. via the development fund, CARES) -- seems like a natural way to help, with no strings attached -- but I imagine that not offering resources might be more appreciated by some, and that would make sense as well. 🙏
On Tuesday, November 29, at 4-5pm UTC, we are organizing an open session with Geraldine Fitzpatrick to talk about service and leadership, taking inspiration from her own wonderful Changing Academic Life podcast (links below). We invite all SIGCHI volunteers to participate.

@mporcheron @drmaxlwilson @floe @sigchi @andresmh The ACM listservs (e.g. CHI-announcements) are moderated by volunteers (mainly those on the SIGCHI Comms committee). The SIGCHI-members listserv is configured such that only the exec. committee members post/forward to it. The SIGCHI Discord, owned by a VP Ops account, may be the only SIGCHI forum where anyone can post anytime and there are volunteers assigned to moderate if/as needed. The ACM/SIGCHI codes of conduct apply across these spaces.
@cfiesler That is an excellent, excellent line I need to use the next time I allow someone that moment ;).
@cfiesler I tried :P
These are all great ideas; look forward to chatting more. Thank you @nigini!
