@pinkprius @globalc my “client” takes my blog posts and pushes them to twitter and mastodon. And I don’t know if I remember in a month that I am not allowed to post anything about the virus because of the mastodon-server. And in a year it is another topic people have problems with.

@pinkprius @globalc in the end it means I really have to use mastodon or give it up if I don’t use mastodon enough to keep up with eventual arbitrary rule changes.

@globalc I won’t run my own server. And yes, servers can decide for their own rules. I won’t run my own because that is more work than I want to do. Thus I’d rather give up on mastodon than searching for a new server, moving my account again etc.I thought giving up on micro-blogging/blogging completely. So this might be a first step.

So, the mastodon-server I am using wants me to use content warnings if I post something about covid-19. The cross post-bot from micro.blog doesn’t let me do it. So I will have to leave the server or at least won’t use it anymore for posting. Well. Bye Mastodon.

@ak cannot do that, I cross post from and I cannot set individual posts behind content warnings. I am not even sure if I can set everything behind a content warning.

The mortality rate of COVID-19 makes me worry. But the permanent lung damage even light cases can have make me worry even more.

Sometimes when I read news from the US I have suddenly the image in my head from when I was a child or teenager and what I thought about the US back then. It was kind of a land of dreams, now I would think twice if I even would want to do a vacation there. It sounds so broken.
