@saahbs just to be clear, I fully support your preference if that works for you (and your team if working in a group) 😄. It sounds like you don’t think line length should matter as long as the monitor can display it? I’m just curious, not trying to make an argument either way here.

I recon 80 chars, or maybe around 100, is still a great line length limit in 2026. Just a personal preference but still happy to fight about it 😄

Remember kids, it's absolutely illegal to create an archive of the Spotify library, but it's totally OK for big tech to scrape the vast majority of created content on the internet to train LLMs...

Am I the only one who has to type everything about three or four times on their phone before successfully getting everything spelled and formatted correctly? It feels like I’m constantly fighting my keyboard to type what I want. And even if I manage to type the right keys (I often give up on swipe typing) the auto-correct system is there to ensure I stay frustrated.

What I really want for Christmas is for IntelliJ to use less memory. Or maybe my laptop to have more memory 🤔

This is pretty awesome, can’t wait until something like this is available. We are about to paint our roof and looking at a lighter colour to combat the heat.

I hope everyone is enjoying their NBN speed boost. On the lowest 50Mbps plan we are enjoying a modest speed decrease down to about 20-30Mbps 😊

Bad code doesn't come from nowhere. It's like glitter: someone thought it'd be fun at the time, suddenly it's on everything, it becomes impossible to clean up and you'll be finding pieces of it forever.

@nemeciii I’ve given up after fighting this fight for many years. Now I don’t care about commit messages because they get squashed on merge anyway with a generated message. And only a single change should be in a PR anyway so the message doesn’t contain anything useful. It took me a long time to let go, but my mental health has improved since 😄

@sidawson I did the same. Logged in recently (like a year or two ago) and immediately fell through the floor because I guess the geometry had changed 🤣 Also the skills system had changed a lot and I couldn’t use my mount or any of the items I had any more.
