@elight I figured I'd wait a few days to respond to this... Thanks!

@geeksam So... look up the news story "Fatal Distraction" by Gene Weingarten, which is a humane and terrifying look at why these reminders exist. I read it when it came out, think about it about every six weeks or so, and will probably never be in an emotional place to read it again. Weingarten won a Pulitzer for it, it's not easy to read.
We're excited to share that we'll be hosting an intimate Meet the Authors event at #RailsConf!
This is your chance to meet the authors of top Ruby books, ask questions, and maybe grab a copy or two... ๐

@jamescooke Thanks!
Nice article I just found about the first test you write on a new function: "In Defence Of Sliming"
https://medium.com/table-xi/in-defense-of-sliming-937b63046efb
From 2017 - but this "sliming" name for this technique is new to me. Iโve always found it helpful, just never had a name for it.
@Schneems Congratulations from a fellow Ga Tech alum!
@marick @carnage4life pretty sure it's Vinge's _A Fire Upon The Deep_
@snonux thanks!
Once in a while, I like to read a book about a programming language I have been using for a while to find new tricks or to refresh and sharpen my knowledge about it. I just finished reading "Programming Ruby 3.3," and I must say this is my favorite Ruby book now. What makes this one so special is that it is quite recent and covers all the new features.

@soulcutter 1 and 4 behave differently on values that are literal false, right?

@Iconfactory thanks!
@Iconfactory I think I can do it for individual accounts, but I can't get it to work for lists
@Iconfactory then I must be doing it wrong, if I try to put a list's url in the feed finder, it takes me to the bluesky connector and duplicates my personal following feed
@Iconfactory is there a way to use the bluesky connector to point to a feed or list other than the default? Thanks!
@Ryanbigg known button down issue in dark mode.
