With each new release of #JetpackCompose libraries, building great apps for *any* Android form factor is getting better.
Today, this now means that #AndroidTV app developers can enjoy the same delightful UI framework, writing less code to build pixel-perfect living room experiences.
Check out the #AndroidDevelopers blog post for details, which links out to our new design and developer guides, together with the new sample and codelab.
Happy composing! 🎨
#IO23 is absolutely packed with terrific updates for developers, and I'm proud join Shobana and Sid from my living room to share what's new in #AndroidTV and #GoogleTV.
The big update is around #JetpackCompose for TV; check out the video for some great demos!

I'm so excited to share what I've been working on for over a year. There are some truly phenomenal experiences that make it stand out, and I'm personally very interested to see how developers get creative with ways to use this unique form factor.
It's a wrap! A spur-of-the-moment Bugdroid sticker application conceals the logo on my polo shirt—the things those stickers come in useful for!

Did you know you can bring your Android app into *millions* of cars running 🚗 #AndroidAuto and 🚙 #AndroidAutomotive OS?
Ben shows how easy it is for #AndroidDev to bring video apps to cars with Google built-in. You can reuse the investments you’ve made in your Android mobile app and distribute through the Play Store to reach a broad set of vehicles.

Remember, folks, there's nothing wrong with calling it soccer ⚽

‘But by the 1980s, Brits started to turn against the word. “The penetration of the game into American culture,” Szymanski writes, “has led to backlash against the use of the word in Britain, where it was once considered an innocuous alternative to the word ‘football.’”’
Android 13 for TV is here! 📺🚀
Our focus has been on performance, quality, accessibility and input controls. My personal favorites are anticipatory audio routing and the improvements to media controls, but check the blog and release notes for the deets and more!
At #AndroidDevSummit I mentioned that submission policies will be changing for #AndroidTV. From May 2023, all TV apps will be requiring App Bundles. To learn about how AABs benefit you and your users; see today's blog post:

While thousands of employees' lives are upturned just ahead of the holidays, their CEO's reaction: "lol"
@seb "Mission control" is certainly the right name for this feature, because mastering OS X sometimes feels like you've gotta be a rocket scientist.

@seb In trying to reproduce this, I had a moment of panic because my Finder stopped working altogether. Turns out the application modal confirmation prompt shows behind some windows on another monitor.
@romainguy How can we actually be friendly about giving a reminder (in writing)? Often when I write something like that, I'm sincere--because writing something like "I really don't mean to pressure you or anything, but just in case you forgot about this thing... hope you're having a great day and again, no pressure" would be awkward
