@atog The haze this morning was magical. No photos here, but I enjoyed it.

@konstantin@social.headbright.eu @mikaelacaron I have a Voyager and 2 Plancks here (and some others). It's very easy to adapt to the split style in my opinion, and it's more comfortable for arms/shoulders.

@iworx Klopt, had je post ook gezien op LinkedIn 😎 Binnenkort hier ook eens kijken voor zonnepanelen.
@dries @mastohost Thanks for the suggestion. Found out about Mastohost when checking the mastodon.design server info. If I move back to my own instance, this is probably the one I’d pick atm. The alternative for me atm is social.lol, which has a lot of extra services, but I never quite settled on the .lol tld. I’ll give it a good night’s rest I guess.
@andycarolan Ah, but it’s just water and rye flour to make the starter (and some patience)
I’m constantly annoyed by cookie banners, and wish they were forbidden. However, it does make a difference if the copy is simple and clear, the tone of voice is friendly, and the Accept All button is not styled as the primary action. E.g. the one on Kickstarter didn’t feel hostile to me.
@andycarolan I totally get that, it is indeed therapeutic. You might be missing out on the sourdough benefits though (and it's not hard to do) 😉
Thinking of going back to solo instance for Mastodon. I was a happy customer of @ossrox but wanted to know if there are other providers I should look at? European, affordable, English site.
I’d love for micro.blog to be part of that exercise, but it’s a weird mixture of blog & social that doesn’t fully solve this. Currently it feels easier to me to have a separate blog and fediverse account.
@andycarolan Reminds me of stretch & fold I need to do for making sourdough bread 😅
@eWalthert They missed the opportunity to make it fully 3d extruded, nearly there on the Z. I always think "if you can't hide it, spotlight it". Instead of using the minimal amount of connectors so that you won't notice them, integrate them fully in the design.
TLDR; this is a monumental fuck-up by the EU, proving it is incapable of retaining alternatives to Silicon Valley even when it’s lucky enough to have them sprout up under its own nose. (We already know it’s incapable of producing them. Although it could, if it wanted to: https://ar.al/2019/11/29/the-future-of-internet-regulation-at-the-european-parliament/)

Is anyone successfully using Apple's high performance screen sharing? https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/remote-desktop/apdf8e09f5a9/mac How does it perform with fast wifi and/or utp?
Contemplating replacing the mac mini 2018 (Intel) in my garage with an Apple Silicon one, thinking it would feel like your local machine.
Really liked this Luck Surface Area chart from the Indie Hackers article by Jay. Nice simple way of visualising why it's important to balance doing and telling to reach maximum impact. Also shows that it's a balancing act.
Personally I always feel that I should tell more while doing and do more when I'm telling people what we're working on. Guess that's a never-ending struggle, but also keeps me sharp. 🙂
