Apparently #microslop doesn't like it when people call them #microslop

@zstg Indeed it is, which is what I was afraid of. Although I had never heard of blacklisting email clients before. MFA makes sense but not this.

I came across davmail (github.com/mguessan/davmail), although my understanding is it helps circumvent the MFA issue. Not sure if that would work with the email client blacklist.

I'm trying to integrate my computer workflow more into emacs and one of the major ones is email. I absolute love notmuch (why is search so bad on outlook and thunderbird?) but my current organization unfortunately uses outlook with MFA and has blacklisted all third party email clients except thunderbird (although they strictly recommend using the outlook app which in itself is quite bad).

Is there a way to circumvent this so that I can use notmuch in emacs?

@oantolin Have you reported this to the orgmode mailing list?

@oantolin Usually I've noticed a new RSS entry if the paper is updated (v1, v2, etc.). Haven't encountered this but quite interesting.

On a side note, integrating elfeed and elfeed-score for arxiv RSS entries is an excellent tool for keeping up to date with papers, all within the comfort of emacs!

A new type of career opportunity emerged from vibe coding because vibe coders didn't know what they were doing 😉

Finally somebody said it better 😅🤣

A screenshot of a LinkedIn post by Michael Klemmer. The post begins with "I got on LinkedIn because someone told me it was the 'professional thing to do' after retirement. Big mistake." He describes the platform as "a digital motor pool full of self-appointed visionaries doing donuts in the mud" and critiques posts from CEOs who brag about firing their entire team and then going on a "ten-mile gratitude walk." The post includes a quote of a fictional CEO saying, "I was boarding a plane when I saw a janitor smiling. That janitor was my first employee. I gave him equity. That janitor is now our COO. Never forget to believe in people." The post ends with the question, "What in the fever dream did I just read?"

Listen up Mastodonians, because this is important:

Right now we have a unique chance to rise up and hit back against Zuckerberg and Musk. Because italian filmmaker @_elena and her friends have made an OUTSTANDING short film, which explains why people should quit the fascist social networks and come join us in the fediverse.

Hit the fascists where it hurts — make this go viral by watching it and liking it on YouTube, then hit the share button and share it everywhere!

@tusharhero @kskarthik I think there was an emacsconf talk last year on writing an Emacs core in Rust (haven't watched it though).

@zstg Man, it's becoming more and more obvious that the dead internet theory is true. I hate what the internet has become with AI. Few days ago I saw an ad from the National broadcasting service from my country made with AI! It's just infuriating.

This felt too valuable not to share. Braille-labeled maps of washrooms to help people find and use facilities in the washroom. Everyone deserves to get in, do their business, wash their hands, and get out in peace and safety.

This seems valuable for all public spaces.
