I'm publicly apologizing for my suggestion to use Jami as a Discord replacement. It is just as buggy as I remember. Messages not delivering and after one update the program crashes on start up.
Sigh
I am unapologetically behind in my feed, but living up to my screen name

Or any sort of fan.. It is amazing how world class engineering firms do not grasp the concept of density altitude and its impact on air cooling efficacy.
Note to self, fanless PCs or any other passively cooled device is significantly less effective living at altitude.
@aaron
Awesome! I love the long path to success story! I've got some vintage gear that I have similar timelines with.. Really awesome you stuck with it! Did you find some old documentation or what brought the pinout revelation?
@pamela
We've tried breading and baking and it was limited success, like if the slime brings the gag reflex I wouldn't advise it because it was hit a miss.. But that was just in an oven with a baking sheet, an air fryer might put it over the top?
@ifixcoinops
Jami is not too shabby these days

@swetland
Jami? Check it out, I think the only thing that might not jive is large groups but only because I've not directly tried it yet.
@arthfach
There is Jami. It is peer to peer and has been around for a while. It used to be pretty rough around the edges but seems to be much more usable now. As decentralized as it gets. You can spin up your own TURN and directory server if you feel the need, or just run it. Works across all platforms.

Not healthy, but battered and fried to hell and dipped in ranch. Or pickled. Its the slime of cooked okra that gets me and both of those processes usually eliminate that for me.
Just over sharing :flan_alien:
@siege
I was thinking xmpp or maybe jitsi or what about Jami, I think that is peer to peer..
@Lydie
That is sound reasoning.. I'd be interested if you find a path out of their system.
@Lydie
Thoughts about their online version instead?
I am no friend of Intuit either..
@Taweret
If you haven't watched "I, Tonya" yet I'd recommend it, though it could be triggering to anyone who has suffered with domestic violence.

Funny I thought vi stood for village idiot because that is what I feel like when I'm trying to do something new in it..
