The perfect prompt never existed until now..

I use both in a corporate environment that is centrally managed to "prevent" such leaks but it seems leaking things to the MS cloud infrastructure is just cool between bros. The Mac has obvious and easy switches to disable that. The windows machine can't escape it.
While I think you could isolate the windows machine, I believe it will be a constant fisticuffs to keep it that way. With the Mac it will be a periodic finger wagging. You pick the finger.
@hkz
The sounds reminds me of where I grew up.. I like it.
@eproc
Totally makes sense! Reality is a construction our senses, it seems. And even those can be fooled or MITM hacked.
It really reminds me of this:

@eproc
It would be unfortunate to be TOO sane, be careful with that..
@garbados
OK this made me laugh!
Good luck succumbing to the creative process!
@eproc
Here is a take about LLMs and their business use which I agree with:
@hkz
Aw I think they just wanted to hang out and the cat just got spooked!
As an aside that is some intense insect chorus you have going there!!
@eproc
As long as you stay curious and open I think you're doing a pretty good job approaching the topic.
I was telling my daughters about how when the brain gets old it gets calcified and inflexible. I clarified that not literally hardened but it feels like it takes a lot more effort to bend my mind in new directions as I get older.
Having said that I think as long as you're willing to do the work flex your mind, I don't think your approach is wrong..

I don't believe generative ai is a life form. I do think it does create an interesting mirror for humanity to look at itself with though.
One day will we create an artificial sentience? Maybe? I think the biggest challenge for humanity will be not enslaving and exploiting it. History tells me that is not likely to be the case.
Man I appreciate you fielding my hot air in English. The best I can do in any other language is a greeting and asking for the bathroom...
@jameswoodcock
Not so virtual VM.
@eproc
OK so I'm interpreting what you're saying is it is a volume problem, or that when scraping they keep a copy of the documents they are pulling (which as you said is in the billions of documents and pages).
But understand this, when ML happens the documents are ingested into this huge matrix of weighted nodal pathways and then the original document disappears and is now just a vague influence on these virtual neurons, it does not have a perfect copy sitting in memory. The text influences the the weights, its opinion if you will.. It is kind of strange to think of.
I'm not sure where I'm going with this other than human learning is similar to machine learning, which feels strange to say because we took what computers were good at (memorizing things) and purposefully made it like the flawed way that humans remember things.
@benbrown
Sounds enticing!
@eproc
So let me pose a question.
First I'd like to say I'm not pro ML/AI/LLM. I do not think that it will bring some new era of enlightenment.
But what is actually the difference between a human going to college or reading man/web pages then going off to create something vs a computerized neural network scraping and training on similar documents and then creating a similar something?
What actually is the difference between machine learning and human learning? Would I have to credit or compensate every author that I derived knowledge from when writing a SQL query or formulating an opinion about current events or new tech or whatever? I certainly didn't come to my knowledge in a void.
I don't like the web being pounded by scrapers over and over, I understand the feeling of theft by artists, educators, and writers/journalists. But really what exactly is the difference?
I know it doesn't feel good. It feels exploitive.
@saramg
This is a beautiful memory. Thank you for sharing it
@catsalad
My cat does this exact thing. She sits with her back to the room facing a mirror, watching everything behind her back.
@meg
I've been think of and listening to this song much more since 2016, when 45 took office.
It is awesome to see them knocking it out in 2025!

Yes!
