Happy to share my newly published paper about an innovative governance arrangment for climate transition governance! It was a long journey to draw a bigger picture based on rich data I collected during my #följeforskning with Viable Cities programme in Sweden. Available in OA here:

Our book chapter with ten design principles for #transdisciplinary sustainability courses is now available in Open Access! We share how we applied them to foster collaborative, active and reflexive learning in a university course

Check out this webinar about #följeforskning - a quite common in Sweden mode of doing research close to practice. It aims to enable #reflexivity and #learning from practice. It has similarities with #transdisciplinary and #actionreserach but is also different from them. Together with two other researchers, we discussed some of those specificities and shared our experiences of doing #följeforskning to contribute to the theory and practice of #urban #transition governance

This year edition of our #transdisciplinary course in KTH was first in four years in-person version of it! This made it quite experimental as we tried to combine approaches and techniques we used earlier in the classroom and the ones we developed for two online editions. This resulted in a lot of learnings for us and our students. Check out a new article in our #MeaningfulCollaborations series with reflections about those new elements👇

Our #transdisciplinary course is almost over - at the Final presentations today 8 groups shared their inspiring ideas for transitioning towards climate-neutral Stockholm! Beyond our traditional process based on #backcasting, this year, we experimented with hybrid spaces and tried AI to visualise future visions; introduced narratives for creating stories that connect present, past and future. Word cloud from students' keywords reflect the fast pace of the course and how unusual it is for them👇

Introducing #transdisciplinary methods to mostly engineering students in our course about system innovations is always a challenge, but it's also exciting to see them grasping the importance of social components. This year we were lucky to have a guest seminar by Agirre Center #ALC about their #CommunityListening method and #SocialInnovations. In the upcoming project work part, we'll be introducing #modular #ParticipatoryBackcasting toolbox which can be enriched with the methods from ALC work.

My #ActionResearch project in collaboration with Skellefteå municipality in the north of Sweden inspired me to explore the context and specificity of mobility systems in #WinterCities. In this article we share and reflect on expert-based and context-driven #Imaginaries of sustainable mobility in the North👇

Sweden is piloting a new tool for addressing complex sustainability challenges - #SystemDemonstrators. Created by the national innovation agency Vinnova and strategic innovation program "Viable Cities".

Today it was announced that two municipalities - Stockholm and Lund - will get funding to plan system demonstrators and eventually implement them:
