Photo from a few years ago of Yeni Cami (New Mosque), Istanbul, Türkiye. Despite the name, it's 360 years old; building began in 1597, but it was abandoned and ruined, and damaged in a fire, before construction was completed in 1663. Travelling from Asia to Europe, crossing the Bosporus by ferry the mosque stands imposing on the seafront, making a powerful impression.

ok I was just doing errands on my bike and ended up behind this truck with a stuffed mastodon mounted on top. obviously I chased the driver down to ask for a pic. turns out she’d just found it on the side of the road and liked the way it looked strapped to her truck

I know what you mean re: electronic music. Especially if you don't have loads of familiarity with a genre it is easiest to lump it all as one category. Most of my friends would likely do the same!
My list isn't only electronic music, I promise... But I do love it so there's a fair bit 😄

Age 16, just finished GCSEs, compulsory schooling over, first summer as a young adult, and this song was a big deal, played constantly everywhere, on the radio all the time, etc. The following couple of years of A-levels, this was a big part of the summer soundtrack too.
