My end of year playlists here, some of my favourite new releases from 2023 by genre: a thread/
I can’t help feeling that the Bexley residents dressing up as dinosaurs to obstruct mobile ULEZ cameras have not thought it through properly. I presume they’ve had to take time off moaning about smoking bans, face masks, vaccines, health and safety and seat belts to interfere with charging drivers for polluting the air.
Gove must be absolutely fuming after spending all weekend briefing the press that he was gonna get one of the four Great Offices, and then to be snubbed for David bloody Cameron
Got the point now where I think #Tory MPs are saying stuff in the WhatsApp group *because* they know it'll be leaked
The Autumn Statement was already in danger of not passing, given that Truss says her backbench Growth Group of headbangers is almost the size of Sunak's ever-diminishing majority. But given that the 2019 intake largely despise Cameron, I think they'll also be itching for a protest vote in Parliament, and the Autumn Statement seems like a prime opportunity for that. The ERG have been doubly slighted with the sacking of Braverman and the appointment of Cameron.
Nothing says "forward looking government rebranding itself" like bringing David Cameron back into the Cabinet.
Nothing says "Government with its finger on the pulse of the nation" like bringing David Cameron back into the Cabinet.
Nothing says "We definitely haven't run out ideas" like bringing David Cameron back into the Cabinet.
Nothing says "We fully expect to still be in government this time next year" like bringing David Cameron back into the Cabinet
#UKPolitics in the group chat today
@knud Yeah that sounds amazing
@Chess_Olympus omg that's horrible
@knud I watched most of Round Two live (the stream I was watching selected about ten tables and moved between them) and it was great!
