my “people should have total bodily autonomy, including drugs” policy only hits a conflict in the case of addictive substances (and the broader context of capitalist exploitation of addiction), in which case healing only comes from acknowledgement of addiction anyway—so the person could forfeit their autonomy to others in a care context if they, autonomously!, chose to do so. I believe that people have the full and complete right to make informed decisions about their lives and bodies, and access the tools to make those decisions.
