@rgarner @alexanderadam @roy Yeah, well see. For us, it’s about where we spend our time and energy, and we see more interaction there. It’s more of a drop-in Twitter replacement – we can debate how positive that is – than the fediverse, and ultimately, we want to be where our audience is. Automated cross-posting could be a viable option.

My family and I want to move away from Google for mail and calendar, and iCloud for photo storage. What’s the best alternative?

Proton for mail, and a self-hosted Nextcloud for calendars and photos (I already run my own instance for file storage and sharing), maybe?
