New comic! We feel really helpless seeing the impact of the current tariff situation on so many in the board game community. Businesses closing their doors and people losing their jobs is a heavy reality, and we want to send our support and solidarity to all those affected. 💜

Lion exclaims that the industry now is collateral damage. A crow comments sarcastically that if the industry showed how they can exploit people with hype and FOMO, the government might love them. Lion excitedly agrees and plans to lobby.

New comic! When your friend thinks you’re finally owning up to your mistakes… but you just bought a spooky fishing game. 🎣💀

Panel 1: A phone screen shows a chat screen with "Charlie" saying, "Hey! You'll never guess what I got..." Charlie replies with: "No, tell me." The reply is: "DEEP REGRETS!" Charlie is typing...

Panel 2: The conversation continues. Two new messages from Charlie, saying: "FINALLY, ABOUT TIME," followed by a longer message: "GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU HAVE COME TO YOUR SENSES AND NOW REALIZE THAT WHAT YOU DID THE OTHER DAY WAS TOTALLY RUDE!!!" Charlie continues typing.

Panel 3: A person in a beanie, with a bird on their shoulder, looks at their phone with concern. An open game box with the title Deep Regrets is on the table in front of them — revealing the misunderstanding: they were talking about the board game, not their personal feelings.

Heinze says, "I've noticed something..." Rachel, looking at the screen, responds, "Hmm?"

Heinze excitedly holds up two board games ("Helldivers" and "Mass Effect") and says, "Computer games are turning into board games!" In the next frame, he gestures toward three RPG books ("Neon Hope," "Terraforming Mars," and "Root") and adds, "Board games are turning into RPGs!"

Now, standing confidently with arms crossed, he states, "RPGs are turning into movies and TV series!" Behind him are posters for "Tales from the Loop" and "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves."

Finally, he dramatically declares, "Movies and TV series are turning into..." Rachel interrupts and says: "Real life." She adds: "Idiocracy, Civil War, Handmaiden’s Tale..." implying real-world events mirroring dystopian fiction.

Panel 2: Rachel points to a shelf where Rival Cities sits among other board games. She says, "It’s the best of games if you want a small box with a big game!" Heinze, looking at the shelf with concern, adds, "It’s the worst of games if you want to fill up your board game shelves..."

Meanwhile, Heinze, grinning smugly, grabs a ship card and declares, "I’ll buy this ship and then I have three more ships than you. I win!" Rachel looks shocked and frustrated. Heinze (bottom of panel): "It’s the worst of games if you don’t like short and intense two-player games!"

Panel 4: Rachel excitedly gestures toward a wall covered in historical images and artifacts about Hamburg, saying, "It’s the best of games if you want to get excited about the history of Hamburg!" Heinze, sitting at a table holding a hamburger, looks concerned and says, "It is the worst of games if you don’t want your head to form questions like: Would hamburgers be called 'Altonas' if Altona had won?"

At the bottom, credits note that the comic was commissioned by Deep Print Games and created by Rachel Kremer & Heinze Havinga.
