I made this size comparison of the most iconic Star Wars ships from the 90s from 3D renderings whose source site I have unfortunately forgotten. (Ship names in alt text.)
Compared to corvettes and frigates, Dreadnaught cruisers are very big boys.
Victory class Star Destroyers are just stupidly massive.
And Imperial class Star Destroyers are unbelievably, insanely gargantuan.
(Super Star Destroyers are just silly. I pretend I never saw them.)
You wake up to discover that a piece of software you rely on has been rewritten in ShiftLang, a programming language you might have vaguely heard of somewhere. The new maintainer cites ShiftLang having "generalized meta-proto-zygomorphic types" and "hashtable safety" as the reasons for rewrite. Though you think the software was fine as it was, clearly the maintainer knows better.
