I finally made the famous Eric Kim NYT Gochjang caramel cookies. I gotta say, I was skeptical all the way through—I didn’t even sneak any raw dough because the fermented odor of the gochujang really didn’t scream “yummy cookie” to me. But I can report: yes they are very tasty: the funkiness completely cooks off and you end up wth a crispy/chewy cookie with a caramelly, spicy kick!

@AskPippa Nowadays, every time I have an appointment downtown I have to mentally prepare myself for a gruelling 1-hour journey, instead of the 30 min it took me *door-to-door* when I used to work downtown.

@MikeTRose Our dog is not allowed on the sofa. He knows he’s not, and so never goes on the sofa… unless we have guests over. Then he just assumes that the rules have *completely changed* and he can jump anywhere he likes!!
