Getting my $5 haircut this morning, then coming home to make stock from chicken bones I've saved up in my freezer.
It's occurred to me that since I already live like it's 1930, I might offer my expertise to fellow citizens who suddenly need to learn "lean living" as Trump's Greater Depression settles around us all. I'll put some thought into this today (offline, to avoid watching my retirement savings disappear for no logical reason whatsoever).

One Mastodon feature I love is the ability to mute boosts by any given person, without muting that person's original posts. It would be even better if it allowed muting a person's boosts of *their own posts,* specifically, but I'm happy enough with this feature as it is.
This is your periodic reminder that when posting a link of any sort you should include at least a sentence or two describing what it's about, because many fediverse apps (including e.g. the Mastodon web app) don't display useful previews for many types of links.
Be polite: don't make people click through the link just to find out whether they actually care about what's in it.
