Centre for Civil Society is organizing an "iPolicy" 2-day course in Public Policy at Chennai on the 22nd and 23rd of Feb 2020.

The course involves a variety of interactive learning methods designed to provide participants with opportunities to explore and share ideas about policy-based solutions to social problems from a liberal perspective.

Law students all over the country need to understand that the point of Law School is not to memorize the Constitution (or any other law for that matter) and pass the exam.
It doesn't matter if you can't recollect all the Articles or Sections.

The point is to understand what the Constitution stands for, so the same can be defended on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves.

Imagine if during the anti UPA, anti Congress protests of 2013, Congress had refused to give permission to protests against them. You don't take the Government's permission to protests against it.

Morality aside, the #CitizenshipAmendmentAct of 2019, does not seem to be even legal, by virtue of being violative of #Article14 of the #Constitution AND I would argue also by virtue of allowing excessive delegation of legislative powers and function.

PSA: Under Section 228-A of the Indian Penal Code, it is illegal for individuals to make public the name, picture, or identifiable description of any victim of #rape. Outrage, shock, and horror is understandable, but stop using the victim's name for # or her picture for social media post.
The victim's family are already suffering from trauma, the last thing they need is our #journalists and #politicians shouting at each other with her picture flashed on live television.

Does it make sense to criticize someone for donating time charitable organisation instead of paying taxes when taxes end up in the pockets up our politicians almost always being wasted?
