Something in between a polymath and a dilettante. Mostly a birder and amateur computer scientist, though.

@kkarhan and I assume the creator of XLibre is making up a conspiracy just to gain attention to the project claiming itâs not that people are adopting Wayland because itâs better but instead itâs because âbig tech molesâ are trying to defund and extinguish activity on XOrg.
Seriously, this is stupid. The creator had to have done something to violate the rules of the FreeDesktop Git to get purged, not just because he started XLibre and heâs covered it up.

yeah this is honestly a pretty accurate depiction of autistic burnout
TIL Alan Turing has the same birthday as me (well, 88 years apart). Neat.
If you deem me interesting enough a person to meet IRL, you can find me at the Avians & Birds Meetup during Anthrocon! DLCC 317â318, Saturday at 10:00. Or you can just DM me and meet me whenever, LOL. #anthrocon #furry

@colinstu I have yet to watch the new charger video. As an EV owner, I havenât really taken any issue with previous videos, so Iâm not entirely sure what the issue is. Maybe Iâll go rewatch.
Yâall ever had a pileated woodpecker stick its tongue up your nostril? Terrible experience. #birds #woodpecker #wildliferehabilitation
Unsolicited advice from someone who ran a well-prepared 40-person barbecue furmeet and still learned lessons the hard way:
1) Make sure you have enough people willing to do crap at your command so that you wonât become overwhelmed and unable to have fun. (This is the most important one.)
2) When it comes to food, err on the side of having just enough, unless you have some means of giving away leftovers.
3) Plan to be there earlier in the day for those who want to come and chill, but save anything meant for the whole group till later, when almost everyone will be there.
4) Assume about 15% will cancel and not show up, and that a roughly equal amount will want to come, all last-minute.
We'd like to restore our Symbolics 3670 LISP machine and our Thinking Machines CM-2.
@fabiscafe @kkarhan The trouble is that this modernisation makes Linux progressively less flexible - hence the comparisons to Windows. At work we're constantly fighting to preserve the ability for things like the same user account to be logged in twice. Anything that doesn't fit the simplified view of single user systems gets broken. Everything is constantly reinvented, with mistakes from earlier generations repeated and we're forced to come up with fresh workarounds.

@colinstu I had a lengthy caption written up for this, but I think itâs better without context.
@colinstu Youâre⊠just now learning about âglizzyâ? Wow, and I thought I was behind.
@chirpbirb Even worse: same dude simultaneously blocked me on Barq so he didnât keep having to see someone he already knew :wshum:
@chirpbirb Literally had this happen with someone deleting our Telegram chat history to âsave spaceâ (I donât even know)
We made it in the news! Big thanks to the Webster Echo for the positive coverage, especially in tumultuous times like these. www.wvecho.com/news/furry-c...
