@guddl ja, YNAB merkt sich das. Ich lade immer āallesā hoch.
šš» Running and coding. Made raceday.me and runverter.io. #TypeScript #React #NextJS #Tailwind #Serverless
@guddl ach cool, Danke. Das freut mich zu hƶren, dass andere das auch brauchen š
Here is a good explanation of the downsides of using FC (and why it was removed from the CRA template)

I have just restarted the raceday.me server for the first time in almost 6 years.
The little box at hetzner just works.

Every morning I get some nice little stats for raceday.me. People run a crazy amount of kilometers with my app in their pockets. Thatās more than 2.5 times around the Earth.
@forresttanaka I see. I never used propTypes for very complicated stuff. I could imagine zod could help you if you are still searching for a replacement for that runtime (soft)validation.
But I agree, TypeScript can be very hard to get right as soon as you need more than the basic primitives. However, I can't imagine a codebase without it anymore š
@forresttanaka just for my understanding⦠what are you missing in TypeScript that propTypes solves for you? My personal experience is the exact opposite.
@ErikBloemkolk49 Nice. Das gibtās heute irgendwo auf der Reeperbahn, oder?
@ErikBloemkolk49 hast du eine Quelle?
Appleās attention to detail is INSANE. You canāt watch this and not smile.
TypeTypeType is now available in the App Store š„³
It is a simple iOS game where you have to type words as fast as you can. Try it out and challenge others via leaderboards in Game Center.
I am thankful to everyone who uses the share function after the game to let others know about it.
The last months have been a bit busy with a small baby and a new freelance project but I now plan to release TypeTypeType very soon.
I had to resolve an issue with my Apple account with the support and also fix a bug in a quite important part of the app (text input) but this is hopefully done now.
Friend: What do you play games on?
Me: I play games on a switch!
I just came across Kevin Boyle, who did a FTK attempt around Lake Winnebago (117 Km) last week. Finishing after around 14 hours and breaking the record by 10(!) minutes.
He was using my app for live tracking https://raceday.me/v/10762f
Seeing my app used like this makes me so proud. They used it exactly as I had envisioned. The chat is filled with people cheering, sharing pictures with live updates, and even the runner is using the chat to send updates and respond to messages.
Currently working on a game that relies on WebSockets for pushing real-time state updates to all players. I was wondering on how to achieve type safe WebSocket communication and just tried a naive implementation myself. Itās incredibly simple yet highly effective.
