@yngmar my Makita track saw (SP6000) is great. But the box it came with just had a flimsy plastic part as organizer insert. It came pre-broken and had no space for additional blades. So the first thing I did was to build a new insert out of plywood to hold the saw, extra blades, clamps for the track, .... - quite annoying.

Wie wärs an den Zügen entlang ein dünnes Kabel mitzuführen das bei durchtrennen Alarm auslöst? Ggf. Kann man sogar die äußere Spirale in den Zügen hierfür nutzen.

Weidezaungerät(dummy) und entsprechendes Warnschild anbringen? (Muss ja nicht eingeschaltet/aktiv sein um keine Passanten/Kinder zu gefährden ;)

Was sagt denn die Polizei? Ist doch nicht gerade gut fürs Image - jedenfalls frage ich mich jetzt ob es in Wien so viel Mord & Totschlag gibt, dass keine Zeit für solche Themen ist. Solche Berichte machen Wien für mich jedenfalls absolut unattraktiv.

Zum ZWÖLFTEN Mal hat gestern Nacht jemand unsere Lastenräder zerstört. Alle Reifen aufgestochen. Alle Kabel durchgezwickt mit dem Bolzenschneider und sogar das Verdeck mit den Kindersitzen drinnen aufgeschlitzt.

I hope they optimize their AI models to minimize the amount of food waste.

Erster Monat mit PV-Akku im Sack und 8kWh Netzbezug auf der Uhr, was ich ziemlich ok finde.

Das sind hauptsächlich Regelverluste, selten/kurzzeitig auch Kapazitätsgrenze des Wechselrichters. Ist ein AC-System mit entsprechenden Nachteilen im Wirkungsgrad.

Wie hoch ist euer Restbezug im Vergleich? 🤔

Zwei mal Stecker-PV in "maximalausbau" an zwei Netzanschlüssen und rechnerisch zusammemgefasst. Insofern ist klar, dass alles was über die Wechselrichterleistung geht aus dem Netz kommen muss.

Die große PV (~10kWp) kommt dann in den nächsten Jahren.

@bbeaker the two parts that guide the blade can be moved back/forth and the upper part can be rotated. They were quite loose / lots of play (5mm+). I adjusted them so the blade has just a tiny bit of wiggle room.

I used Ballistol https://ballistol.de/en/products/all-things-mechanical/ballistol-universaloil/ballistol-universaloil-spray.html for this as well as the other garden tools.

If you saw a big smoke cloud on the sky that was me burning some residual oil...

Drive works and the chopedychopchop works.

The chopedychopchop guide adjustments were way too loose and the blade was flying all over the place... quite scary. After reducing the play to approx 1 mm, cleaning it and applying some environmentally friendly oil it works quite nicely.

Anyone familiar with those machines knows how to adjust the blade mechanism?

@cazabon this one is now nearly 40 years old and the engine manual lists maintanance stuff in 4 categories:
Daily: check oil level
Every 25 hours: (nothing that applies to this engine)
Every 50 hours: (nothing that applies to this engine)
Every 100 hours: change motor oil, clean air filter, clean spark plug (not replace!), adjust lifters, remove oil residue, grind valves

Most likely the chinesium engine just assumes that cleaning the internals is not worth it.

@MLE_online here in Germany we have "plug-in PV", so basically just a small inverter and 1...n solar panels. The whole thing is sold as readymade sets with a normal power plug. It is limited to 800 Watts injected to the outlet to not overload any circuits and pose a fire risk. Those things are quite popular now. Technically I see no reason why something like this would not work for you. I don't know about the legal situation at your place so ymmv.

@MLE_online just for reference: my "energy efficient" refrigerator uses 40 Watts if running and runs 1/4th of the time so it ends up at an average of 10 Watts. So if its really the fridge depending on the price per kWh a new one could make financial sense within 1 or 2 years.

I found out that my washing machine draws 5 Watts constantly just for being plugged in and "off" so half of the fridge!

You could just try to unplug all devices that are not in use for one period/month and check how the value changes. This includes the Internet modem/router if not at home. If you have access to the meter just do it for 1 or 2 days and extrapolate the difference in reading to one month. This should give a good idea about wasted "standby" energy.

A used kill-a-watt should not be too expensive, maybe 20 bucks? You could sell it again after the investigation.

Is a small PV setup (e.g. one 400 W PV module plus a microinverter) an option for you?
