@mammoth thank you. It’s a sad goodbye but it was good while it lasted.

Do any Mastodon clients currently expose content to Spotlight/Siri? And should they? It seems like if I want to ask Siri “who posted the most today”, or “how many new followers did I get today”, she would get the data from app and do some calculations and return an answer but she needs access to the data and that would be provided by the app.

Although the main thing I want from the news app, more than puzzles or daily cartoon, is just get rid of the ads. All of them, gone!!

Another feature I would like to see make it way down under, is the puzzle section in the Apple News app.

Does the #journal app work with iPhone mirroring?

Apple already has a mesh network for the “find my” stuff and devices are passing stuff to each other encrypted without us even knowing about it. Could they add text messaging? Probably not FaceTime calls though. If they tried I suspect phone carriers would shut it down any way they could but it’s another feature I would love to see built into iOS.

How good would it be if the #applewallet had the capability to send/receive cryptocurrency. I don’t see it happening, at least not any time soon, but I can hope. It would be a big change for so many people, in so many ways.

I was hoping to see #airquality in the iPhone weather app for Australian cities, but it looks like that is still not a thing.

2024-09-08

Hopefully it is still coming but I thought 3rd party apps would show up in the #journal suggestions. Orders from Amazon, lifts taken in Uber, movies watched in @trakt and maybe even posts or interactions made here on social media. Is it just something that needs to be added to the app?

What are the chances #tumblr adds #activitypub integration before the end of the year? Are they even still working on it?

2024-08-14

@box464 @IceCubesApp I wonder if it would be worth adding a way to see who made each blocked post? It does look nice and tidy when it’s just a single line but it is difficult to know if you want to see it anyway. Though the new shading does help a little in that regard, thank you 😊

This is insanely good. Anime girl becomes self aware and uses Blender.

Taking it a step further, you could also show some of the recently seen instances or popular instances as quick links to save having to type in the instance.

2024-07-29

With the option to save it to the list if you like it

2024-07-29

One of the features I like most about #IceCubesApp is the “remote local timelines” but it is a bit of a pain to add one into the list through settings, so my suggestion is to add another panel/section to the explore page, that you can type in the instance and start browsing.

One thing I would like to see Apple do in the future is expand the categories/labels/tags across the whole ecosystem.

They have labels in the finder on MacOS, with nice colour coding.

They have tags in Notes and a few other apps.

It would be good to combine them, so you could categorize any content in any app. Allowing you to create your own groups. A red tag called ‘work’ and you can dump all the work stuff in there. Someone else might group stuff by client or by project.

@thanius @carnage4life also, it should be possible to opt out of it.
Windows 11 is *the* OS of dark patterns.

2024-04-16

The same could be done for #notesapp

2024-04-15

It would be nice if you could mention/tag people from your contacts list in the iOS #journalapp. Just to link that post to that person, so it becomes another filter like places. Maybe in the next version?

New instance, smaller instance, but still nothing to say. Just lurking.
