The Oregon State University Open Source Lab ( #OSUOSL ) might be forced to shut down and terminate all services this year due to a decline in corporate donations
#OSGeo servers, among other Open Source foundation servers, are hosted in the lab's data center.
Can you think of any way to help out ?

They build open source alternatives to many Google services like Youtube, Agenda, Docs, Forms, Maps etc, as well other services to replace Doodle, Facebook Event, Github, Zoom, Slack and much more!

The MOST annoying behaviour with all #Mastodon clients I've tried is their inability to show all comments of post. You always only get a subset of comments, probably the ones known by he server you are connected to.
What prevents a client from fetching all public comments know by the server of the poster ? Are clients trying to do that ? Should the Mastodon API be extended to support that ?
Vsiting the origin server shows all comments so it could be done with a scraper ?
I saw this one posted on Threads abd sharing here for some laughs 😂. Within a few years, we will have jobs to fix all the technical debt created by vibe coders 😉 khhh

I noticed that an IP address owned by Google hits whatever URL a friend enters in Google Chrome on Android.
I found this out by asking her to visit a website I have access to the logs of, requesting a random non-existent path-info. Everytime she does this, the logs show requests from her IP and immediately after from this other IP.
Would you call that abuse ? I would !
