In recent months I've started to receive more and more PRs for my OSS projects with very detailed explanations of the code changes (including the tests). Most of them are in pretty much the same format, and of course it's quite easy to guess how they were produced... Especially knowing how very few peopled bothered to write anything close to such details in the past... :-)

I like the idea of having a "The Installer For Linux®" application for Windows 7/8/10/11.

It should create a partition and load a distro to test.

A) If everything works, the distro can install itself from there without ever going back to Windows.
B) If nothing works, at boot, the UEFI boot changes to Windows, so even if it does not boot the PC goes back to Windows.

This makes moving *from* Windows easier. No need of USB or BIOS shenanigans.

I always use alsamixer -c0 up to cxx from the OSS ALSA period since it's ncurses based & faster than GUI programs.

Many things in Linux were changed for good reason, but some are questionable. I don't use systemD init is easier to maintain. It aint broke so KISS

Pipewire is fun to add FX in my signal chain to my DAW, but for serious work I have a physical FX rack.
I love pavucontrol
