Does it have to be any good?

@cousinofjah This film and Twister are two of my summer favorites for spirit lifting.

I LOVED this movie ... right up until Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum and Jeff Goldblum's Powerbook started displaying some extraordinarily advanced knowledge of unfamiliar alien technology and interface ports.

I mean, at least Luke Skywalker had the benefit of Death Star plans and a team of engineers to determine the weak spot.

Exactly 60 yrs ago, on June 12, 1963, NAACP Mississippi field secretary, Medgar Evers, returned home. Carrying "Jim Crow Must Go" t-shirts, he was shot in the back. His wife found him bleeding at the door. He died later. At his funeral, brutal police tactics failed to suppress anger among 1000s of mourners. Later, Medgar received the 1963 Spingarn medal for his contributions and sacrifice.

Tumblr reminded me that Miss Piggy and Kermit meeting Luke Skywalker and Yoda on the set of Empire Strikes Back is a real thing that happened.

"Frank Oz who voiced Yoda, was also known as a puppeteer and actor who was responsible for the voices of Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Sam and Animal in Jim Henson’s The Muppet Show. [...] One day, during a break in filming Oz and Henson, brought Kermit and Miss Piggy on set to meet Kershner, Skywalker and Yoda."
