I would rather only see bad art for the rest of my life than a single second of #AI slop.

Brothers are great because moms will not buy you a flare gun for Christmas
Reminder for people boycotting shows and movies made by bigots and genocide apologists, you can just pirate stuff and watch it anyway. Watching stuff is less of a problem then paying for it or contributing to viewership statistics. I won't buy sabra hummus but I totally condone stealing it.
Working in accounting vs. Working in legal
Accounting
Me: "can you please send me the documents?"
Other person: *ignores me completely*
Legal
Me: "can you please send me the documents?"
Other person: "I don't have them" *lying to me*
Both of these people are my coworkers.

It's never the people you really want signing up for Cameo. I would pay at least $200 for Norman Finklestein to rant at my partner as an anniversary present.
Tomorrow 11/8! Pushing Down the Walls annual burpee marathon at the Cultural Center of Mexico in Santa Ana. If you can't make it, please consider sponsoring your favorite zine distro while we try to hit 200 burpees again this year ππ΄

@evdas it's all pro bono too! Clients don't pay a dime to get their lives back.
Small brag because I'm very happy. Today for the very first time I submitted petitions to the court to expunge a client's criminal record. Attorney looked over the petitions I drafted, made a few small corrections, then gave me the go ahead and I stayed late to finish it.
All the forces of enforced poverty and a violent, vengeful, bureaucratic police state against these clients and my dumb ass has lucked my way into probably the first job I've ever had where I am paid and empowered to do something about it.
Demons vs Catholics is one of my favorite movie genres
Friendly reminder that starting a zine distro in your area is easy and you should do it.
The crackdown that JD Vance and Stephen Miller are planning is not the result of anything that radicals or leftists did. Protestations of innocence and statistics about who is more violent are beside the point. They have been planning a crackdown regardless. It's part of their playbook.
If the crackdown takes place, it will not happen because of what we did, but because of what we *did not do.* But there's still time to act.
Very glad that agency clapped back at fucking Chris Hedges

New piece up on @igd_news on the case of imprisoned Tzeltal land defenders from San Juan Cancuc, Chiapas, and how to support them.
"The case of the San Juan Cancuc 5 is understood as serving two purposes for the State. One is that it pins the killing of a cop on those who are not also cops, and two, it punishes the community β of which all five are active members β for its opposition to neoliberal development projects."

If you are an Etsy witch,
First of all, thank you for your service.
Second of all, if you're dealing with a sudden influx of business and need help keeping track of your income I will provide you free accounting support in exchange for hexes on Netanyahu.
Fuck. He was playing 4D chess all along.
You win this round Charlie.
I'm supposed to be sad because a piece of hate-filled shit was killed yesterday. When he wanted gay people stoned to death. No, rot in hell, you racist, homophobic, misogynist, anti-tran scumbag.
Driving through farmland in central California right now. I really wish farmers would put up signs that say what each crop is because I can guess most of them but I'm so curious about the ones I don't recognize
"Think of it. Forty-five hundred years ago, if you were a Sumerian scribe, while your calculations on the world's first abacus might have been laborious, you could be assured they'd be correct. Four hundred years ago, if you were palling around with William Oughtred, his new slide rule may have been a bit intimidating at first, but you could know its output was correct. In the 1980s, you could have bought the cheapest, shittiest Casio-knockoff calculator you could find, and used it exclusively, for every day of the rest of your life, and never once would it give anything but a correct answer. You could use it today!
But now we have Microsoft apparently determining that "unpredictability" was something that some number of its customers wanted in their calculators."
