I found this very interesting #map that shows the extent of the problem with the yellow line, as part of Trump’s truce agreement.

My family is currently staying in an apartment very close to the yellow line. We can hear shelling and gunfire and the sound of drones all day every day, it’s more exhausting and stressful than words can express.

A star begins as a collapsing cloud of hydrogen and helium. Fusion in the core produces energy carried outward by radiation and convection. When hydrogen is depleted, stars expand into red giants and eventually leave behind remnants: white dwarfs, neutron stars, or black holes, depending on their mass. Multiple stars can orbit each other, forming binary or multi-star systems. Even in their endings, they enrich space with elements for future stars: a cycle of renewal written across the sky.

Stars shine because hydrogen fuses into helium in their cores. When hydrogen runs out, heavier elements form either during the star’s life or in supernova explosions of very massive stars. Astronomers study a star’s mass, motion, brightness, and spectrum to read its story (its age and evolutionary stage). A star’s mass, more than anything, determines the path that story will take.

Our nearest star, the Sun, powers life on Earth and is also the main source of energy for the rest of the solar system. Other stars appear as tiny sparks only because distance dims them. Long ago, humans linked these sparks into constellations and gave names to the brightest ones — many echoing through history in Arabic, like quiet messages from the past.

A star is a massive, luminous sphere of plasma held together by gravity. Its light comes from nuclear fusion, where hydrogen nuclei merge to form heavier elements like helium and lithium, releasing huge amounts of energy as heat and the light that travels across space to reach us. Most stars are made mainly of ionized hydrogen and helium, and many have planets orbiting them.

LA SITUATION NOVEMBRE 2025

Pour rappel, 92% des logements à Gaza ont été détruits ou endommagés par l'armée israélienne. Il en résulte que l'immense majorité des Palestinien·nes vivent dans des abris de fortune. Les terrains les mieux protégés du vent, qui ne sont pas directement en bord de mer, se louent dans les 500$. Les approvisionnements d'abris et de matériel pour passer l'hiver par les ONG sont pour l'instant bloqués. Les gens doivent se débrouiller avec ce qui reste dans les marchés, et qui se vend à prix d'or. Les Palestinien·nes présents dans le fediverse n'ont pas de salaire permettant de subvenir à leurs besoins. C'est le troisième hiver qu'ils passent dans des abris de fortune.

LE CLIMAT

Pendant l'été, les températures peuvent atteindre 38° et de nombreux insectes prolifèrent, boostés par une situation sanitaire désastreuse. L'hiver est pluvieux et venteux et les équipements prévus pour l'été (dont certains ne sont même pas imperméables), sont complètement inefficaces durant cette saison. De violents orages ponctuent un hiver froid et humide, qui empêche les habits de sécher correctement.

LES BESOINS

Ici, on a une liste du stricte minimum dont ils et elles ont besoins. Avec les habitations détruites et les déplacements d'urgence, les équipements "chauds" qu'iels pouvaient avoir ont été perdus. Leur tente est usée et n'assure plus l'étanchéité. La seule solution reste de racheter le matériel.

- matelas et des couvertures adaptés pour le froid
- tente imperméable et solide permettant de résister aux pluies et au vent

I was always quite an active, sporty and healthy child. I always loved playing football, and exercising with my friends and cousins. But a little while before the war started, things changed.

One day, I was sitting with my cousins, chatting and laughing, when suddenly my heart felt a sharp pain and pressure. I also felt short of breath. I washed my face and felt a little better until the pain subsided. But the next day, the pressure in my heart and chest suddenly increased.
