Even if it "can't happen" because of the US #Constitution, even if it's meant to "own the libs" -- this kind of shit from Team #Trump has to be greeted with outrage and clear rejection of it even being funny. Because
(1) that's how Bad Stuff gets normalized, by doing something provocative and then just calling it a joke and offended parties snowflakes, and
(2) "joking" about violating the US Constitution is sort of like an insult to one's mother: fighting words.
Trump's closing pitch to Canadian voters is "choose the guy that will make you the 51st state". Goooood luck with that buddy.

Given that the #Trump Regime has made it clear that the Judiciary and the Legislature being anything but rubber stamps to Executive authority is "radical," "unhinged," and possibly "treasonous," learning that at least one judge has been arrested for not kow-towing to an ICE administrative warrant is ... not at all surprising. @praetor I don't think it has anything to do with Equal Protection; this case, and others, it's been a dubious assertion of the First Amendment as trumping all other considerations.
PE is relatively easy for schools to handle opt-outs. When every book is liable to be challenged by one adult or another on "religious" grounds, schools will almost certainly end up getting rid of any book that doesn't focus just on white cis-het Christians, just to avoid the hassle of challenges or accommodation.

So if parents can demand opting out if #school materials even mention the presence of #LGBTQ people (the real intent being to get schools to drop such #books) because that is unconstitutional "coercion," then what happens when (not if) parents object about #interracial couples in a book? Or race-mingled neighborhoods? Or that there are #religions other than #Christianity? Or that a mother has a job outside the home.? Or that kids are playing soccer on the #Sabbath?
