@Swampsarah The lighting is so soft! The two photos that polled up on my feed look great. What gear are you using?

@tootbrute @GrapheneOS I'm returning my P9a just because of this thread. I want to support GOS and I have an older P6 that runs it but the future is uncertain.
@lobsters I haven't read others reactions or looked at the repo but why does "yes" need to be rewritten?
@GrapheneOS Is a more secure OS worth giving up freedom for? I really appreciate GrapheneOS but if it hits a point where Google makes it too difficult to maintain or use, then I would rather trade the security for open source. If security was my only concern, why not just use an iPhone?
@dfx If you have a game called "Aaaaaarghh The Pirate Game" which is a turn-based strategy game on a hexagon map with different races such as humans, giants, dwarves, etc... where you battle for island, And it was released for Windows 3.1 or maybe 95, let me know! I've only ever found a shareware copy and its usually missing a dependency that's broken.
I grew up with MSDOS but wish I had an Amiga. Playing those games makes you realize what you missed!
@xandra The idea sounds great! I'd like to get a print copy. I took a quick peek and wasn't sure what the best way is to do that (membership vs order?) and I'm also not sure what content is in the print; is it the articles I see on the homepage?
Glad you shared!

@RezzaBuh Any idea on what consumer level affordable boards or devices are available that can run Fedora off the shelf?
@pflegende Thank you for the tips! And I didn't realize SDF hosts a VMS system. I may have to increase my membership, haha.
I finally pulled the trigger on buying an older riding lawn mower. But I got way overexcited by how well it was chopping through our overgrown yard and started taking it down into the forest. Apparently it has a lot more traction going downhill than uphill.
Luckily the previous owner showed me the "push it out when it gets stuck" switch so I was able to pull it out (gently!) with the tractor.
I would do this kind of stuff full time if it paid the bills 😁
@fedilug Thank you for explaining! Can I pay extra to cover shipping to the USA? Haha. I can't read Japanese but I like the design so I am more interested in a physical copy.
No pressure! It's okay if that's asking too much :)
@fedilug That would be great! What do you mean platform? For example, PayPal?
@Moosader That is so cool! It's always nice seeing other peoples' workflows, especially if they aren't doing the same stuff I am.
@platinumtulip Is that your art? Its looks great! I prefer Photoshop on older Macs ... it's a whole different feeling using it.
@apex Thank you for sharing what you use! I like the 3 Lenovo m715q machines that I have but they are dedicated to Kubernetes. I went to move pi-hole and some other critical software to a machine that I can throw on a solar+battery backup with my Ubiquiti router. So I'm looking at options.
Looking for alternatives to the #RaspberryPi or Lenovo mini computers to run in my #homelab. My primary requirements are budget friendly, low power consumption at idle, wired Ethernet and at least 4GB RAM (preferably more).
I'm located in the northeast USA if shipping and availability come into play.
I saw someone posted a nice machine targeted at home-routers but I cannot remember the brand. Let me know your suggestions!
