Our mechanized hero makes a bed for hollyhocks.

Neighbour checked his hay and decided it dry enough, so it got flipped, then swathed and now he's baling.

And will be baling half the night by the looks of it. If that cloud doesn't burst on him.

The baler-wrapper goes *THUNK* whenever it coughs out a finished round bale and then rattles as it wraps the plastic foil around it.

Spot our stork lurking there in the all-you-can-eat peck bar!

Under a rainy looking evening sky, a mowed field with hay swathed into rows. There are many white plastic wrapped round bales sitting in the field in regular intervals. A tractor is pulling a Krone baler-wrapper which is picking up the hay rows, pressing it into round bales and wrapping it into plastic before dropping them into the field. Behind the nearest bale a stork peeks out.

A large white delivery truck, 12 tons I believe, in a grass yard. Its tyres are suspiciously low on the ground. A small blue tractor is attached to the front by some towing strops. A yellow house with green roof is in the background. Behind the truck, a red and black liveried driver is looking angry.

The aftermath in the yard. Two double tracks from the truck have chewed up the grass, beginning with a muddy pit where the tyres spun. Some rubber conveyor belt is pushed into the mud. Further ahead, another section of the driveway is chewed up by four tractor tyres spinning in a few places until they got a grip. The gate is open.

Looks like John Deere is going to court!

I finally pulled the trigger on buying an older riding lawn mower. But I got way overexcited by how well it was chopping through our overgrown yard and started taking it down into the forest. Apparently it has a lot more traction going downhill than uphill.

Luckily the previous owner showed me the "push it out when it gets stuck" switch so I was able to pull it out (gently!) with the tractor.

I would do this kind of stuff full time if it paid the bills 😁
