Small improvised piece I recorded shortly after my mother passed. I don't love it but I did want to change it in any way. Finally in a place where I feel comfortable sharing it.

Also I started using the new feature as part of my daily , and I have to say it's awesome. Especially with me mucking about with 2d and 3d art and having a drawing tablet permanently stationed on my desk.

I've already been able to build some nice art boards for references and inspiration.

Quick project I did to break in my drawing tablet. I basically copied a reference image I found when looking for inspiration for my 2d game.

Not great but I could see myself getting decent at this sort of thing over a long period of time.

@bvaughn this 100%.

During my career my first commit at TWO separate companies was to replace their terrible fake loading bars. What's interesting is that in both cases there was essentially a trivial way to measure progress reliably with little to no rework of the existing thing.

I'll spend more time coming up with a good way to measure progress than actually building the feature I'm measuring the progress of. I just can't stand terrible progress bars!

⚛️ I wanted a panel manager component that (to my knowledge) didn't exist, so I built one today. Pretty fun problem to work on.

It's neat because the state is easily serializable (via something like useLocalStorage) so it can remember arbitrary groups of panels between sessions.

The issue I've found with platforms like and is that reaching any meaningful interactions early on feels tough. It ends up being a chore to try and gain enough traction for anyone to really interact with what you're saying/sharing

As an with I find it pretty difficult to maintain interest in building an online social circle for long enough to break through

Am I alone here or do others feel the same? This post will age well when no one responds

Finally reworked my setup and . I'm really happy with how this came out.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a desktop stand for the xd? Or for the push 2? Also got the quad cortex. I'd love to get all three on my desk, but unsure what would work best.

Well, I managed to goof my first world pretty good.

I was underground and saw some clean water, so I queued up mining to get to it. Specifically the tutorial on survival says "you can find water underground"

Minutes later I noticed water taking over my entire little underground area. A dozen panicking. THE STAIRS WERE GONE. I guess the water destroyed them. I didn't know what to do but I panic saved and quit

If I load back up all my dwarves will drown =(

Onto World 2
