RE: pkm.social/@spinningthoughts/1

Completely different perspective of how you might merge prose ala #Obsidian with outlining ala #logseq that kind of shot through my head today.

Generally I've been keeping thinking about how you might "merge" these two systems into one. And yes this is still a merger, but with much more... distinction?

#logseq is a "2nd brain" kind of app, not unlike #obsidian, which is a bit more famous but not open source. Both rely on locally stored markdown files, ensuring the future-proof value of your content.

Logseq has a slightly different perspective, with journalling more central to it, and above all, with a "fractal" bullet point concept. It makes notes look less like a beautiful page and more like your notebook. It goes in the direction of a mindmap.

Hat sich bereits wer aus der #Logseq / #Obsidian Community mit NoteDiscovery beschäftigt und kann vielleicht etwas Positives berichten?

I'm going to test my theory that Logseq is, in fact, a giant data fractal.

I wonder if I should leave #obsidian and try out #logseq or #joplin ... Even if my usage is not as high as it should be (I miss too many things because I didn't note them down!), and mostly for the principle of using only #opensource apps 😅

I wonder if it's again my #OCD (I spend too much time switching apps and services!) or if a move is worth it.

Opinions welcome 😎

#StateOfTheGraph, a personal #Logseq #graph evolution.

December 8th, 2025: 915 nodes & 1310 links.

Screenshot of a graphical view of my personal Logseq graph. All nodes and links are colored in whitish green, except for one orange node. The meaning of the color of Logseq nodes remains a mystery unknown to the famous Internet.

Today, I worked quite a bit on adding more historical research (a combination of information, maps, and photos) into #Logseq .

This particular project has its own graph. I then started adding tags and back links to specific pages and bullet points.

It's now starting to pull together quite nicely, and finding relevant research is getting quite a bit easier. Fun stuff. And Logseq is absolutely fantastic.

#Research #Notes #Maps

Wer nutzt #Logseq fürs Aufgaben-Tracking? Welchen Workflow verfolgt ihr? Das würde mich mal interessieren. Ich experimentiere schon seit einiger Zeit damit.

I think I am at a point that I no longer need Joplin installed as I have fully moved onto Logseq for my notes. Joplin is what got me started in taking notes (not related to school/work) for myself and it is a great platform. Logseq (which is an AGPL-3.0 FOSS alternative to Obsidian) has so much going for it, like linked notes, graph view 🤩 , and the plugin marketplace. I love it!

As for Joplin's Docker image always backing up the notes? Logseq can be used with Syncthing, which makes it super easy to setup on multiple computers/phones.

@harmonia_amanda I started to take notes on my tea sessions ~half a year ago, and it really pays out! I want to find the best temperature, water, leaf/water ratio for every tea. Since I use #Logseq as my PKM software (kind of a personal wiki/notes/life-management software), so using it for inventory and notekeeping was a nobrainer. So I gave every tea its own tID, which i use as page-hierarchy and also note it on the package. Scheme: [# of trip to the tee-store]/[position on receipt].

collection of whole leaf teas in 10g-packages, every package has a short ID handwritten in the right upmost corner

Building Lithic – a solo passion project inspired by #Logseq but with a portability-first philosophy, designed to be lean, mean, and fully hackable.

It’s built on #TiddlyWiki to ensure a transparent, modular codebase that you can actually tinker with. If you are looking for a "sane-defaults" workflow that is fast and can be modified to your needs, please check it out.

@borkir nice, thank you for the recommendation. I will check it out. I've been tuning the phone to balance performance and features. The always-on clock display is really useful for me because I have difficulty keeping track of time. But I know that eats battery. I've set the switch to enable battery saving so I can use that when I don't need certain features. I wish there were some ways to automate things. For example, I need to only run when I open .

@teledyn
Thanks for the detailed write up. I have a somewhat similar setup. I'm using #orgmode for my GTDish workflow, with nextcloud for storing the files and a automation on my phone to sync orgzly revived every 15 minutes via webdav. This way I can get notifications.

I'm starting with org-roam to take meeting notes and other things. But right now I'm not pulling orgroam into orgzly because I'm afraid it might overwhelm it.

I saw some mentions of #logseq for this, but I haven't tried it

I added support for dark mode for the AI-assistant that I'm developing for Logseq.

#Logseq #PersonalknowledgeManagement #PKM #AI #ArtificialIntelligence

A dark-themed Logseq interface is open. On the left sidebar, the “Journals” page is selected. The main panel shows a journal entry dated “Nov 23rd, 2025” with bullet-point notes about commit counts, a GitHub repository link, and milestone progress on a task runner. On the right, a chat-like “History” panel displays a conversation where a user asks about commit totals and the repository URL, and the assistant responds with the numbers and the GitHub link.

I got hyperfixated with Zettelkasten method, Logseq, Emacs org-roam and stuff like that. I would like to have a Roam wiki on web to have my notes and stuff always available with no configuration. Somebody know a good solution for that?

Logseq and Obsidian both are amazing.

I've built huge systems in Obsidian and it works great for my productivity and capturing.

Logseq has been interesting and the only reason for me to not switch is because of my existing system.
