I’m certainly no #Trump apologist, but the scenes with #Mamdani were nice, in a way. For a brief moment, the super heated rhetoric was gone and ideological opposites were, at least, able to speak like sane people for a few moments. We need a ton more of that.

Current Slugging % metrics values a solo home run more than a 2 run double. Impact Slugging would immediately rebalance this to put more emphasis on hitting with men on base.

Impact Slugging would include the value of the bases gained by the runners as a result of your hit.

A double with men on 2B and 3B would get the batter their 2 bases, the base the runner on 3B gained, and the 2 bases the runner on 2B gained for a total of 5 bases.

Puts emphasis on production.

This person’s suggestion for replacing Slugging % with a metric named Impact Slugging % is interesting.
