New video out! All about how I use VimWiki to (checks notes) write notes.

And also, how I use Nextcloud Notes to sync my notes-from-the-terminal with my phone and tablet.

As a followup to this: Is anyone out there still running 7.x?

A poll for anyone out there using VimWiki: What version of Vim (or Neovim) are you currently running?

(You can get a useful version string by running :version)

Howdy folks. Been a minute.

Just wanted to mention that we have a few new updates after a flurry of recent changes from tinmarino:

github.com/vimwiki/vimwiki/com

This all needs some release tag hygiene, which it will get once I am a bit less exhausted. Right now I'm going to go lay on the couch and watch bad TV with the cat.

I (brennen) am also working on the question of how to handle files with a . in the name:

github.com/vimwiki/vimwiki/iss

...but again: couch, cat, tv. Code later.

If anybody's recently updated their VimWiki install and is getting errors on saving that include:

E605: Exception not caught: VimwikiTags5: Metadata file corrupted

...try deleting .vimwiki_tags in your wiki folder and running :VimwikiRebuildTags.

Background here:

Hey all. This is an announcement / support / tips & tricks / related links / whatever comes to mind sort of account for the VimWiki plugin.

Nobody seems quite sure if it's spelled "VimWiki" or "Vimwiki" or "vimwiki".

As of this writing, the latest release is 2022.12.02, which bundles up a bunch of fixes and additions from the last couple of years:
