Of COURSE I'm committing changes on the Friday before Christmas! 🎄 ☹️

Snapfish (a photo printing service) just lightly suggested that I better order because they are storing my photos. Not sure when marketing went from "No worries we'll save this forever!" to "Come buy our shit, because we have your data." Account closed. Data request for deletion.

The simplest way to ensure your messages are safe from hackers like Salt Typhoon is to use an end-to-end encrypted app like Signal or WhatsApp, EFF’s @evacide told @NPR. npr.org/2024/12/17/nx-s1-52234

Google is trying to jam "AI" into all of their products but an interesting element of the way they integrated it into Android Messages is "Gemini" shows up as a conversation, which means it is actually possible to block and report it to Google as spam

No more talk about getting rid of the electoral college, and how Wyoming has more Presidential vote power than California, please. It was never on the docket. It's too late, and now it's just disenfranchising voters from participating in local elections. 🇺🇸

Can't wait to be asked to remove the poop emoji from the all hands meeting email.🤦‍♂️ 💩

Clearing your cookies isn't enough.

There has to be some mechanism to prevent browser session hijacking. Can we have the hardware encryption chip provide a OTP every time we load a page? Something to stop infostealers bypassing MFA.

Remember when we used to just "clear everything" when we closed our browser?Well I tried that with Firefox this morning, and got no less than 5 "Is this YOU?!" security alert emails: Google, Meta, Microsoft, etc.

This isn't about security. This is about browser tracking.

@dustinfinn Duracells are the worst for this. I have lost countless flashlights and FRS radios because I just thought "all batteries did this"
Energizer. Switched every single battery out 6+ years ago. Haven't had one leak yet.
