my whole life democrats were the party that “raises taxes,” but it wasn’t until I was in my 30s that I realized that every time, they were just putting things back to where they were before the republicans gave all their rich buddies super tax cuts — effectively cutting america’s paycheck off at its knees.

the way I see it, by supporting/enacting all these wildly anti-LGBTQ+ policies and laws, the GOP is only solidifying the upcoming generation as solidly blue voters — both rural and urban alike.
