What's not to like about this coaster? The zero g stalls, the speed, the extreme drops, the 2:30 minute ride, the pacing....everything clicks on this ride. It's proof that when RMC is given the land, money, and time to develop a ride, the can exceed beyond anyone's wildest dreams. I've yet to find a better RMC.

2. Phoenix - @knoebels

When people ask me what my favorite wooden coaster is, this is it. I grew up 15 minutes from this park, so this ride holds so many memories - first big coaster, first front seat ride, first back seat ride, first parent-free ride, first ride I got in trouble on, the list goes on and on.

As I've grown older I've appreciated how lucky I was to spend my summers shooting around this track over and over again.

3. The Beast @KingsIslandPR

There's no other coaster in the world quite like the Beast, and its unique design and thrills has it ranked as one of our favorite roller coasters ever.

Night rides on the Beast are things of legends - hurtling through the dark into the unknown seems almost too spooky for some. This class is constantly ranked as a top wooden coaster even though it will be 44 years old in 2023.

4. Valravn - @cedarpoint

I think my love of dive coasters stems back to my Roller Coaster Tycoon game days. But I love a good dive coaster. Valravn is one of the best out there, IMO. Great dive, fun tricks, and the feeling that you might fall out of your seat. Is there anything better?

5. Great Bear - @hersheypark

A controversial ranking today. But my argument is as follows. 1. This 90s B&M coaster has held up a lot better than other B&M coasters built around the same time (looking at you Raptor and Bizzaro). It's not as flashy as those coasters, but it doesn't need to be. 2. Major nostalgia points for me on this one, riding it over and over again with my mom.

Ranked too high? Maybe. But nothing ranks too high for your mom. ♥️

6. Banshee - @KingsIslandPR

Two Kings Island coasters in the top 10?? Unreal! But Banshee is a great B&M coaster, one with tons of thrills for even the biggest coaster fan.

My advice - snag a spot in that back row! You will whip through the track from the first drop to the brake run. It's one of the best back seat rides I've been on.

8. Leviathan - @WonderlandNews

Admittedly I have yet to be at Carowinds when Fury 365 is open (soon). But B&M's first giga coaster is still a jaw-dropping coaster even 10 years after she originally opened. The speed you hit on this roller coaster is like a dream, and the air time feels like it's almost not safe for you to enjoy.

If you're a regular listener to our podcast, you know my thoughts on Skyrush at Hersheypark (it's overrated). But Hershey finally found a winner for their flagship coaster with Candymonium. Big drops, lots of air time, and tons of speed make this ride one of the best the park has to offer.

There are newer, taller, faster, and arguably more exciting dive coasters that have opened since SheiKra dropped into our lives in 2005. There's only one original, though, and even approaching 18 years old she still is thrilling to take a ride on. That drop, the water effects....*chefs kiss*

A lot of you are going to argue this coaster is ranked much too high. To that I say, make your own list! But also, it has huge nostalgia points for me, and core memory days from childhood, so it's why it's ranked so high.

16. Disaster Transport - @cedarpoint

This ride had everything! A fun and quirky queue. An indoor bobsled coaster that had to close when it rained. A beachfront location on the shores of Lake Erie. Why did this have to close again?

Disaster Transport is still a fan favorite today because it was unique and fun and never tried too hard. I love goofy roller coasters, and that's why DT still makes the list.

17. Phantoms Revenge - @kenny_kangaroo

I don't know if you should give #ArrowDynamics more credit for one of their best designed hyper coasters ever, or Morgan Rides more credit for improving the coaster in 2001. Either way, Phantoms Revenge is one of the best roller coasters to come out of the 1990s. It's still a fan favorite for park visitors.

A fitting tribute today, since GhostRider opened on this day in 1998! Despite its age, this ride still packs a punch. Some great hills and a ton of speed for lots of fun. GhostRider is a huge coaster for #knotts and will leave you smiling.

19. Flying Turns - @knoebels

Flying Turns is not the flashiest roller coaster out there, but it's certainly one of the most unique. Flying down the trackless layout, twisting and turning up on the banked turns, it's an experience that makes you feel like you've turned the clock back.

The only-one-of-its-kind-in-the-world coaster lands a spot on our list for its clever engineering and all around enjoyable ride.

20. Cú Chulainn - Emerald Park

This ride is a ton of fun, and the well-placed over-banked turn halfway through the ride earned Cú Chulainn a spot in my top 20.

I'm not saying everyone's in the neighborhood to visit Ireland's biggest amusement park, but if you are, be sure to stop by and take a ride or two on this behemoth.

21. Big Bad Wolf - Busch Gardens Williamsburg

It is a travesty these suspended swinging coasters have not made a comeback yet. They're absolutely magical, and BBW was my first experience whipping up and around the banked turns.

I love Vortex at @WonderlandNews too, but this classic at @BuschGardensVA is too good not to rank it.
