Having finished #SkinDeep (which is great btw) been sticking with Steam and working on the backlog:
#DungeonGolf Putt putt golf with monsters and treasure chests, and if that wasn't amusing enough already the TV broadcast presentation with a play by play and color commentator just adds to the silliness.
#4DGolf another putt putt game, but this one hurts my head. The "4th" dimension is another physical plane. I still haven't quite grasped the concept.
#EnaDreamBBQ is some damn strange stuff. I was unaware of the YT vids so all I saw was a trailer for it at some point and wishlisted it on Steam. Chapter One dropped in March and I missed the notif somehow, partner watches some channels that do gameplay vids and she reminded me about it yesterday. Free DL btw, and do rec checking it out.

#ClunkyHero Been my #SteamDeck bedtime game lately. It's a fairly routine metroidvania which is fine. Story is amusing. Suits the "half hour session" play style well.

I'm also still doing the #PSVR2 most days, so either #NoMansSky or #GT7 atm. May have another look at the compatible list to see if there's anything worth picking up.

golf is genuinely such a perfect medium for playing in 4 dimensions, all of the UI (including the controls) around rotating my 3D hyperplane are so well-designed that they quickly became intuitive, and the fucking volume view is actually genius. not to mention the 4D “shadows” that let you see any structures that are outside of your hyperplane
I actually feel like I almost have a handle on maneuvering in 4D spaces in this game, which is something that I was never able to experience in 4D Miner despite a lot of playtime. I think the simple, focused, linear paths help a lot with that but I also just think that the volume view is an incredible learning tool for understanding 4D spaces intuitively
anyway I highly recommend this game if you like 4D stuff or if you just like having your brain broken and trying to piece together an understanding of something that’s way beyond you
4D Golf runs at over 840FPS on my new computer with middle level antialiasing at 1080p60 & between 600FPS & 700FPS with the highest antialiasing option. It ran at around 30FPS to 40FPS at a slightly lower resolution with lower antialiasing & changing the shadow projection to wireframe on my old computer. It's incredibly impressive that CodeParade was able to put together a game with at least one extra dimension & have it run at a faster than necessary to play framerate with beautiful graphics (even on lower settings) on an OS that probably wasn't their primary focus on an over 13 year old low end home office computer. They did it in just nine months. I don't know how many hours a day they worked on this, but just them alone made this game that runs better, looks better, has more hardware & software compatibility, & has much higher replay value than a big studio's game AND it has a level editor. That's awesome. Big game studios have no excuse to not reasonably match this level of effort.

Cosmodeus kind of reminds me of someone. Now I want to play 4D Hyperbolic Katamari. (I have never played Katamari & I have only seen a few clips of the King of All Cosmos)

4D Golf goes hard. I have only had real issues with the half pipe & quarter pipe holes in the third area so far. The game being four dimensional isn't that bad & it makes golf actually interesting.
