Good times!

1. Portable mobile battery charger. I play music more or less constantly, so the battery is always at risk of running low while I'm out somewhere.

2. Keys, wallet, phone. I don't want to put them in my pockets or carry them in my hands, so in the bag they go.

3. Tylenol and Advil. Not so much for me, more for friends and rando gals who express the need for one.

4. Tissues and wet wipes. I used to live in Mexico and learned the hard way to always carry a backup supply of papel higiénico.

5. At least one working pen (gel, broad point). I don't trust other peoples' pens like that.

Honorable Mention: If it's a D&D night, my minis and my iPad take up the most real estate.

1. Tissues. It's basically an emergency when I run out.
2. Ibuprofen. Essential!
3. An assortment of pens, several of which have disassembled over time.
4. Small snacks in different stages of disintegration, many inedible. Have to be prepared for boredom-hunger, but then I don't remember them.
5. Special coins I put aside to keep.

2. At least one physical book
3. Pencil case full of pens of various colours
4. Small medkit (band-aids, antihistamine, paracetamol, alcohol swab)
5. Reusable cutlery

(I have two bags, one which is more like extra pockets and I cannot fit too many things in, the other is for when I'm going further than just a quick run to the store... I am also not including all the receipts I somehow never throw away until I gather a whole bunch of them and then I'd stress over whether I should throw them away)

💊 4 different types of essential medications (but uhoh I gotta remember to check expiry date on the asthma inhaler every now and then, don't ask)

🥛 Lactase pills because life is happier with dairy products but my gut disagrees

🛍️ 2 or 3 shopping bags of the type that fold up really small

🔑 A fannish keychain attached to the outside (right now #PuppyM is on my shoulder bag and #WolfChan is on my backpack)

💄 Lip balm

1. E-reader filled with books and papers to read; I'm not even sure what all is on it. I also use it to do my Mandarin homework, ideally not at the last moment.

2. At least two containers of hand cream (except when I really need it).

3. Rubber-tipped stylus thing for hanzi practice on my phone (have I yelled about how great the Skritter app is today? It still is).

4. A wallet with the cards I actually use, pizza loyalty card and photo of my girlfriend (not my boyfriend, I realise! Embarrassing). Also a purse with cash from at least two countries, hopefully including the one I'm currently in.

5. Paperwork that I absolutely have to deal with at some point soon, a steadily growing pile.
