Once upon a time (1983), I was introduced to The Plimsouls via that classic (?) Nic Cage flick “Valley Girl.” They were playing in a bar in a couple scenes. Then I picked up the album this tune is on at a record store on Hennepin in Minneapolis that summer.

Around the time of my sophomore year in high school (79-80), their third album was released. I’d heard of ‘em but at the time, was in the middle of “Led Zeppelin/Cream/Bad Company/Who/Stones/Hendrix” discovery and too busy to mess with all that new stuff. Better late than never, I reckon.
