It's not Sunday, but the Week is up already.
Concluding my look at 99 to Beat. What stories did they tell, why was the winner 29% lucky, and does the "winner's edit" exist?
Really enjoyed this show, there was something for everyone.
This week's Week is a look back at 99 to Beat, the show for the one who can do everything.
Knowing the results, I can ask difficult questions. Did the producers edit it to show the champion from early on? How much time was given to players as they left? And what about the people who were eliminated without speaking on telly, what do they say, eh?
This piece ran *much* longer than planned, so I'll finish it next week.
FOX has picked up new seasons of "Weakest Link", a celebrity edition with Jane Lynch returning to host, and "Fear Factor", with Belgian game show adaptation "99 to Beat", hosted by Ken Jeong and Erin Andrews.

Looks like nobody on the Fediverse is tooting about #99ToBeat, the ITV show where normal people are given simple challenges, with the one instruction: don't come last.
The show is rather moreish: we don't have to think about on the game, so can grow to love the players. Some dodgy commentary and production decisions don't help, but it looks great and has loads of heart.
And I've an excuse to finish a Task Taxonomy, I'll come back to that.
