M3 Cluster - telescope processed image. M3 contains more than 270 variable stars—the highest count of any globular cluster—helping astronomers measure cosmic distances.M3 Cluster - unprocessed image. This cluster is roughly 11.4 billion years old and holds about 500,000 stars, orbiting the center of our Milky Way galaxy.

A fresh image of the object that made me want to have a smart telescope. .

M57 The Ring Nebula - telescope processed image. It's a planetary nebula created by a dying star shedding its outer layers. The "ring" is actually a barrel-shaped cloud of gas.M57 The Ring Nebula - unprocessed image. Its vibrant colors come from ionized gases: blue from helium in the center, green from oxygen, and red from nitrogen and sulfur on the outer edge.

Good Saturday Morning. Took out the Odyssey Pro this morning. It wasn’t out for too long but I got some good images. Starting with .

M10 Cluster - telescope processed image. M10 is rushing away from us at about 75 km/s. It’s a massive ball of roughly 100,000 stars located 14,300 light-years away in Ophiuchus.M10 Cluster - unprocessed image. M10 is "metal-poor," containing only about 3.5% of the heavy elements found in our Sun, proving it formed very early in the universe.
