My rabbit-holing has me reading about #Pleroma - and a feature of that vs #Mastodon is, apparently, that Plermoa uses #Acivities not #Statuses that "fake" Activites? (https://blog.soykaf.com/post/what-is-pleroma/).

Who can give me the layman's ELI5 on ... what that means?
