Ironically, the post that got me suspended was about people being disappeared and taken without explanation.

Obviously, a Mastodon suspension is a very minor inconvenience and nothing close to people being kidnapped off the street!

I’ve rebuilt on my own instance, but these issues are worth discussing.

Ideas like identity continuity, appeals, and admin transparency are often debated in the community.

I’m not saying every instance must adopt them. But when admins ask for support, and users give it, there’s an expectation of reciprocity.

Treating a paying, good-faith user like a troll, with no process, undermines trust and makes future support far less likely.
