Überraschenderweise war der hier, genau wie GODZILLA VS. KONG zuvor, nicht komplett scheiße. Ich mag es, wie der Camp umarmt und damit kokettiert wird, wie die Figuren ähnlich zu SKULL ISLAND ins Karikatureske gezogen werden und wie sich auf hochstilisierte Opulenz eingelassen wird. Auch die Besinnung auf die eine Reihe von Öko-Metaphern ist nicht schlecht – aber die Arbeit mit diesen Metaphern durch den Einsatz der verschiedenen Titanen ist es. Sie ist messy, es fehlt an Schärfe und letztlich wird alles dem sehr einheitsbreiigen Spektakel geopfert.
