Sun Gate (Inti Punku)
The Sun Gate, or Inti Punku, marks the ancient entrance to Machu Picchu along the Inca Trail. Arriving here at sunrise rewards you with the first breathtaking view of the citadel below, bathed in golden light. For the Incas, this spot had ceremonial and strategic importance.
