I've given up trying to speak German. The German I've learned doesn't contain anglicisms, and I've tried hard to find the right word for everything, and feel dumb if I have to use an English word. Meanwhile, the Germans throw in anglicisms all the time, even when there's no reason to do so.

To all #French native speakers, I'm curious to know if #English or #anglicisms have made their way into the mainstream language.

I remember many years ago while #Spanish was adopting words like "byte" & "software", French protected its own and used "octete" & "logiciel" instead.

I wonder if that's still the case.
