My spouse has been away all week so I've been absolutely plowing through #blossomsinadversity - it's so good but I've gotten to episode...22? So it's the expected time for a side plot I'm not particularly interested in, but one must endure 😂 I get inappropriately anxious for fictional characters.

Finished #BlossomsInAdversity. Loved it. Would have loved 15 more minutes of the ending and watching people react to the big reveals (hi! the random beggar your family took in is now emperor!), but very good all around. Very cathartic.
Starting the day with #BlossomsInAdversity so I can finish the last two episodes and not be distracted later. This is honestly why I prefer books. I could have read this whole store in a couple of hours. Watching it for 40 episodes, even at only 40 minutes per episode, is a lot of time.
My desire to finish #BlossomsInAdversity is currently at war with my need to sleep so I can be a functional human being before 7am.
I need more recs for happy, found family, make-you-smile-and-warm-your-heart type of dramas. I don't mind murder and chaos as long as my people have a happy ending. Recent likes have been #BlossomsInAdversity, #StoryOfKunningPalace, I also liked #JoyOfLife & #MeetYourself.
It has been many years since I hated an emperor as much as the one in #BlossomsInAdversity. It's not like he's a cackling evil man. He's just petty, cruel, and obsessed with being correct. Whatever tiny idea pops up in his head, he runs with it. Throw the whole man out.
The Emperor lecturing Hua Zhi about the temperaments of the imperial family is actually hilarious considering she's currently dating the emperor's nephew while raising the emperor's niece and son. Like, my good sir, stop talking and ask her for advice. She knows more than you.

I have run all the errands, bought myself a mouse that functions, and dealt with two minor work emergencies.
Now I'm going to finish today's editing and maybe finish #BlossomsInAdversity (because I deserve nice things and happily ever after for my favorite characters).
Since we're getting #JoyOfLife2 I need to go rewatch #JoyOfLife as soon as I finish #BlossomsInAdversity. I have missed Fan Xian.

They casually adopted one of the most dangerous men in the city and he's like, "You don't look like you're going to stab me if you're mad about your lunch being cold, so hotdog, I'm in!"
I love that the entire family in #BlossomsInAdversity is like, "Ah, yes, this is Mr. Yan, our family's martial arts trainer and his friends who happen to work at the terrifying security bureau. This is 100% normal and exactly like every other family."
I love how casually they treat him.
"Next time you try to threaten me at least pull out a blade."
I have writer envy. I wish I'd come up with that line and the characters it worked for.
You See: A starving student on the side of the road.
Hua Zhi Sees: Her house's next adoptee and future tutor for the family's children.
The Emperor's biggest threat at this point isn't anyone in his court, its' Hua Zhi deciding she can run the country better.
It only took me until E10 to realize #BlossomsInAdversity is playing off the family name, Hua (meaning Flower). #Cdrama
Just finished watching “Blossoms in Adversity” with Hu Yitian and Zhang Jingyi 🌸 It was such a gentle drama about a young woman and her family who experience hard times, but who manage to thrive in the end because of their humanity and business skills. The main couple has a sweet vibe and their love feels real even without much skinship.

ML with Zero Hesitation: Yup. (but refuses to look at her bare shoulders)

Conclusion? The writer knows their audience and what fanfics we read. #FakeDating
#BlossomsInAdversity is doing an excellent job reminding viewers that the ladies back in the day didn't wear jewels for the glam of it all, they wore jewels because that was their currency. Their gold hairpins were money they kept with them.
I am enjoying the soundtrack for #BlossomsInAdversity and I'm E1. We'll see where this goes.
Am watching "Blossoms in Adversity" 🌸 with Zhang Jingyi and Hu Yitian. It is such a gentle drama full of ordinary life in the midst of a palace drama. The relationships feel real which makes the stakes high. Didn't expect that it would be this good...
