Seems their QAQC is either entirely absent or woefully inadequate. Warranty also went bad, customer service wise. Obstacles, tap dancing, hemming and hawing about warrant terms.
TL;DR if you ever connected your battery to your vehicle, they want to convince you it's the wrong way to use a battery. Should leave it on a bench, connected to a charger, forever, it seems.
Excuses for shoddy manufacturing, that is what it is.
This is the second #Optima #BlueTop battery to crap out on me.
Application is a #Jeep with a winch. I acquired this battery as a replacement to another one which died on me at 13-14months, wouldn't retain 12V. This one, 6-7months after bought won't charge over 06V.
Used to be, Optima was one of the best go-to solutions for any off-roader. Alas, no more. I am kinda hoping their Yellow Top series have not come to the same sad end.
